Signing in to the Creative Cloud desktop app also automatically signs you in to any Adobe apps you have installed. For Adobe apps to function, you must be signed in to the Creative Cloud desktop app. The Creative Cloud desktop app is the main portal for accessing and licensing Adobe apps and services.
